Abby- two months

Life here is finally settling into a nice routine. The older kids are all off to school, Abby is sleeping through most the night now (at least three to four times a week) and is full of smiles and love. It is funny to see her little personality develop. Our Netflix consumption has dropped back down to a healthy level and we are even getting out of the house more and more. It is nice finding this new balance. Abby just seems to roll with the punches, if it is nursing at a restaurant or being put into her car seat to run kids to and from school. She has been a champion-even if we've had a few fussy days.

At her two month check up I was surprised to find out she is weighing in at 10 lbs 8 oz. I knew she was getting bigger but I didn't know she had gained that much. It looks like a few of the 3 month outfits I bought her for when the weather turned colder and for Halloween will likely need to be exchanged this next week or so for a slightly bigger size.   She is also measuring in at 22 inches, a nice three inch gain since she was born.

Here is a bit of what life looks like around here:

I know I am bias but I think this girl is pretty cute when she sleeps.I also loves that she is sporting enough hair we can do a Pebbles Flinstone hair do.

Laine is such a good helper. She loves to hold Abby and is quick to help in anyway. Abby seems to like hanging out with her too.

Matt continues to be an ideal elder brother, He wants to hold the baby all the time and as soon as he is holding her he says, "take a picture." The other day he also took picture of Abby with him everywhere and showed everyone a picture of 'his baby'.

Abby's two month old pictures. That was as much of a smile that I could get out of her.

It has been fun to watch her grow and she is just a spirit of peace and love in our home.We even got stopped in the grocery store the other day so a couple could look at her and talk about how cute she is. She is our good baby.

Matt's preschool adventure!

For about two years now Matt has been asking to go to school, each year he has watched as his siblings went to school and he would just wish he could go with them:

Well that little super hero has grown up now and it was time to send him off to school.  This kid was excited. So excited we made a paper chain to count down the days when the older kids went back to school ten days before he did. He is in a class with two of his friends and he is finding things to talk about like: Paw Patrol, super heroes, cooking shows, and Dragon Ball Z. All topics very important to this four year old.

One big change was that he decided that he was no longer Matty but Matt. It breaks my heart a little and there are times that I keep forgetting the name change, but he is quick to correct when I mess it up.

So off he goes on a lifetime of adventure! He's just glad there are snacks.
