Summer Vacation kick off!

Summer vacation is here and we Bellamy's know how to start it off with a bang, all 19 of us piled into six cars and headed up to Heber City for a nice weekend away. We had fun hanging out together, working on crafts, playing games, watching deer, going on outings, and eating delicious food.

We had a great time, while there we-

adopted a brand new puppy that dances to 'Tequila', thanks Grammy and Poppa.
Played Pirates
Visited Park City and walked Main Street. Laine loved this part the best because she got to learn about what PC used to be like and she got to sample some awesome chocolate treats.
Went to a creamery in Midway where we got ice cream and raw milk, oh and some delicious cheeses.

We also became cheeseheads.
We had races on the covered bridges.
And somehow the Bradley family gained one new member.
We decided to have a picnic, but found there was no picnicking allowed when we got there...
But found one super close, even if it was lacking on the shade.

We took an easy hike around the Cascade Springs
and even found a staircase to snap a few pictures.
We took our traditional cousin stair picture though, we almost got everyone looking at the camera.
For a special treat we decided to take a ride on the Heber Creeper. It was hit and it was crowded but we had a good time.

It was a fun trip and we had a great time. Thanks mom and dad Bellamy!

Summer Swim Party

Call us crazy but we decided to invite a huge chunk of the neighborhood kids over for a summer swim party this last weekend.  We invited close to 25 and had 16 show up. It was crazy screaming fun that left all the kids with a great feeling and the adults with splitting headaches.

The kids set up their wading pool, slip n slide, and sprinkler. Plus there were water squirters and spray bottles and water balloons.

We tried to organize some games and some of them went really well. We did a water balloon pop which the kids thought was hilarious and thought was also ridiculously hard.

Then we tried to do a duck grab but that didn't work very well so the organized fun again devolved into chaos fun with more water fights/battles occurring.

I am not quite sure what the teams were as alliances were changed faster than episode of Survivor that I've ever seen. (full disclosure, that was only like two seasons)

By the end the kids had a great time and made some new friends. They also decided that this was the best thing ever.

Of course then my kids had to stop and pick up all the water balloon pieces then it wasn't the best thing that we've ever done.
